Almost There

Bethany at 34 weeks I can’t believe the end is in sight!!  I’m 34 weeks now and growing daily:)  With this post is a picture of me and my very round belly.  People have been wondering how I’m doing, so I wanted to show them I’m fine–albeit a bit uncomfortable, but fine.  This baby has been more active than I remember James being.  I don’t know if it’s because James stretched me out giving this baby more room to move around, or if it’s just personality.   It still amazes me that God is growing a little person inside my body, our God is so AWESOME!!

Ryan and I are beginning the process of getting the baby’s room ready.  There are several things that have to happen first, like installing an electrical outlet in the basement so we can put the computer downstairs.  Then we need to move the guest bed as well.  Then, and then, and then.   And of course James is gonna have to give up his crib for a toddler bed.  Lots of changes, hope we survive them all!

El Maguey

January 26th, 2008

A new Mexican restaurant comes to town!  OK, in a small town any new restaurant is a big deal.  There is a Mexican restaurant near Mason, Ohio called El Rancho Grande.  Me and a few guys from work (mostly Jeff Litteral) would eat there sometimes 3 times a week for lunch!  I always ordered the Speedy Gonzales with rice.

Much to my surprise El Maguey had the same item on the menu, the Speedy Gonzales, MMMMMMMMMMMMM!  Last Saturday was our first visit and it brought back tons of lunchtime memories back when I worked for Arch Communications.

Hey Jeff, did you bring your lunch?

Hopefully El Maguey will survive here as other restaurants have had troubles in itty bitty Goshen.  We’ll do our part to keep them in business!

Happy 2008!

January 6th, 2008

The new year came in just like the last one, Bethany, James and myself fast asleep.

The first week of the new year brought us over a foot of snow.  My car’s handling in snow is lacking at best and I found myself in a snow drift on the side of the road as I was driving to work.  No police this time as I was able to quickly get on my way without assistance.  Plows just don’t come to small town county roads, EVER!

We saw lots of family and some friends during Christmas.  We hope that this was the last trip for our 91′ Toyota Camry (yes, we’ve said that before) which has served us well with over 217,000 miles.  We will be making a vehicle purchase before our baby comes in March.  Or maybe not, I think we can get at least 3 kids in our Camry!

Hope you all have a good new year and don’t worry about those new year resolutions cause nobody else does.

Let It Snow!

December 16th, 2007

A pretty good size snow storm passed through last night and today dumping a foot or more of snow on us.

I shoveled just enough of the drive way so that 1 car can get out.  Bethany and James came out to join me for just a few minutes.  Unlike the summer time James has NO problem going in out of the cold after a very short time outside.

Here are a few pictures and some video of our snow fall.

Your speakers aren’t broken, the video has no sound.
