Our little boy has been born. Joshua Ryan, 7lbs 3oz, 20in long. Born at 7:33pm, March 11th.

Joshua watched his first 2 episodes of The Andy Griffith Show at 3 hours of age.

Yes, I said MINIVAN!  This past Tuesday we bought a 2008 Toyota Sienna LE, 8 passenger, Salsa Red minivan. 

Bethany enjoyed the maiden voyage home from the dealership while I went back to work.  It wasn’t till Thursday (grocery day) that I had a chance to drive it.  It doesn’t have any flames on the side or a turbo charged engine but fun to drive non the less.

I’m having fun with all the buttons and gadgets.  I’m still trying to program the van to open our garage door with no luck.

I got back from Spokane, Washington a week ago.  It was a fun trip to see my sisters family.  I’d have to say the best part of the trip was being irresponsible!  Since I went by myself I had none of the usual responsibilities a father would otherwise have.  It was nice watching everybody else running after their children and well… being responsible!

I had an encounter with recently signed Seattle Seahawks Mike Wahle at the Seattle Airport.  He was charging his phone right next to me charging my Ipod.  He was on his phone telling everybody the news about being signed.  Only after looking up the Seattle Seahawks website did I learn his name.

The trip was a lot of fun and I even got to baby sit my niece for a couple hours (yes, I was responsible then)

It’s good to be home and I can’t wait to see my Spokane family again sometime.
