A pretty good size snow storm passed through last night and today dumping a foot or more of snow on us.
I shoveled just enough of the drive way so that 1 car can get out. Bethany and James came out to join me for just a few minutes. Unlike the summer time James has NO problem going in out of the cold after a very short time outside.

Yes, that is the most over used cliche of the Thanksgiving season. It’s also a Beford family joke going way back.
We have some pictures of our little James’ first hair cut. The both of us participated in the hair cut. I learned a few things from my mother cutting my hair over the years. Of course after seeing the pictures you may wonder if I learned anything.
I’ve finally learned one thing that my mother knew a LONG time ago… Giving a son a hair cut is a very special time.

Ryan and I are anticipating lots of excitement in March as another baby Bedford will be entering the world. At least this time around I won’t be as upset to see my due date come and go and still be pregnant. Ryan has decided to be prepared for a late night birth by having a cooler stocked with deli sandwiches, cokes, and all sorts of fun snacks so he won’t miss his supper. I guess I’ll be delivering the baby and Ryan will be stuffing his face. I’ve felt ok so far–with just the usual discomforts that come with growing a person inside my body.
So far we don’t know if it’s a boy or girl, although I think it’s a girl and Ryan is sure it’s a boy. We told James about the baby and where it was and now he says “baaaby” and points to his stomach or mine. It doesn’t seem to mean anything to him now, but I’m sure he’ll change his tune as soon as the baby comes home from the hospital. My actual due date is March 16th, and right now I’m 19 weeks pregnant. Anyhow just thought it would be fun to share our news with you! Here are some pictures of our little James.
Dad is now a professor at Southwestern College in Cincinnati. Classes start on October 4th! Didn’t take long till he was snatched up an institution of higher learning. Congratulations again Dad! Everybody in your seats before the bell rings!
